Moxibustion

This application includes the use of mild heat from the "Moxa" Wood - the compressed dried leaves of Chinese mugwort. This has the effect of stimulating an acupuncture point using focussed heat either with or instead of acupuncture needles, it has a potent invigorating effect on the body, warming the channels, relieving the disharmony mostly caused by cold conditions in the body, and helping heal the body. The "Moxa" herb is a very relaxing herb, but has a stimulating effect when placed on the acupuncture needles. It is widely used as an integral part of an acupuncture treatment.
